We lost my brother David last month, and a handful of family members and friends over the years to cancer. I ride with hope of helping find a cure. I count on the blessings of a "heart of gold, a will of iron, and knees of steel" (they're titanium actually). Raising money to help those that need it. Fingers are crossed and always hopeful for prayers answered. :)

Hey all, Happy September!

For the 7th year in a row, I'm pedaling my bike to raise money for the Great Cycle Challenge. This event raises a BUNCH of money to help fight kids' cancer. I am committing to pedal 300+ miles and raise $710 this September. I can do the miles, I'll need your help for the donations. I turned 71 this summer, so there's the math.....

It's with a heavier heart this year after my brother David died from AML, a type of Leukemia. He and I (and the rest of my siblings) have been riding bikes regularly for fun and various charities for the past 30+ years. I'll keep riding, raising money for those that need it.

They say every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. More children in the U.S. lose their lives to cancer than any other disease. Let that sink in a bit. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
