At a young age of 2, my nephew Craig was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. After 9 months of intense treatment, Craig lived another 18 years before the cancer returned with a vengenance. At this time, his confidence in Christ carried him on the difficult journey of suffering and treatment with much grace and courage. Yet, all too soon in our human minds, Craig was reigning in the arms of Jesus, free from the sickness and pain.

My Story

As a 4 year cancer survivor, I understand the emotions following a cancer diagnosis. Cycling has become a beneficial stress reliever and adventure as I pedal the back roads of Big Valley or Rail Trails. Therefore, this cycling challenge has resonated within me. So for the third year, this September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
