This September I am again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer again! This is my third year doing this. I'm doing this in honor of my older son Jack who died from leukemia as a baby. The last 2 years I participated in this challenge it was such a wonderful experience that I decided to do it again this year. Those who had the privilege to meet Jack know how much he has impacted all our lives despite his short time with us.

As many of you know I have been having a couple of health issues of my own the year or so limiting the distance and intensity that I’m able to ride. But I was reminded of all Jack had to endure during his treatments and my challenges seemed to pale in comparison so here we are.Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
