Dylan Jenkins

Dylan was diagnosed back in June 2015 at 6yrs old with Stage 4 embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma. This all started in his soft pallet, then Dylan become congested and his voice changed. At first I thought it was allergies. Originally diagnosed with acute tonsillitis. A few weeks went by Dylan being on steroids and antibiotics and many sleepless nights & developing sleep apnea. Finally, at St. Christopher's, he was scheduled for a tonsillectomy on June 1st turned, it out to be a tumor. For a child just going in for a routine tonsillectomy & comes out with Cancer is not the news any parent or child wants to hear. Dylan went though 58 weeks of chemo and 28 days of proton therapy radiation to his head and neck for a year. His attitude and bravery so far is amazing! He is now approaching his one year of being cancer free at 8yrs old. Thank god everyday for all the love and support Dylan received though out his journey but most of all having him here with us is our biggest blessing today!!!
