My Story

4 Sep 2026

This is the third year to ride to help children with cancer. The Great Cycle Challenge helps kids with cancer by raising money for childhood cancer research, funding new treatments, and raising awareness. Since its inception, the challenge has funded hundreds of researchers and helped bring significant advances for treatments and cures.

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

My precious Mother had cancer three times and thankfully fully recovered with the help of cancer research. medical treatments, great medical workers and by God's grace. The medical people teamwork with research can and do really makes a difference. Also I have had two special piano and violin students who had cancer who didn't do so well. Young Mathew and Karen have suffered a lot from it. My mother suffered much from it too. It hurts to see people you love suffer from it. I would love for good help to be there for all who have to go through such a thing.

Please support these children by giving them hope and making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. Your support will change little lives. It has in the past.

Thank you.

A lot of people were out Saturday on September 12. It was fun biking through the woods, watching all the action next to the Riverwalk— a lot of swimmers. Were swimming for miles. Also went out past the Baylor stadium all the way to the place where the Baylor students graduate. And did the opposite side of the river. It was a nice day, and I was really sweaty. The smartest thing I did was finished at the splash pad and just get wet because it was so sweltering Hot.
