Eight years ago my buddies niece was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. A terrible disease and something that nobody let alone a child should have to deal with. Fortunately for her and her family the care she received has led to full remission. That little girl got to grow up. Unfortunately not all diagnosis end with the same results. Last year Pete and Abby Zullo’s son Gabriel’s battle with the same cancer ended! Same disease different outcome and entirely unfair. In the eight years that we’ve been doing this I’ve ridden almost 7000 miles and we have raised over $20,000! Thank you! During those eight years we’ve said our final earthly goodbyes to Dolben, Hoenig, Tucker and I’m sure you have your own names that you could add to that list! These were people that I played little league and pop warner football with, the guys that you had some of your first drinks with, the guys that told you “ hey check out this band” All good people all gone way to soon! Sadly, an cruelly ironic that little girls Uncle our friend Austin is waging his own battle with cancer! Tomorrow is match day. All donations given tomorrow (Wednesday September 9th) will be matched!
