  • Sunday Ride: 69 miles total now
    15 Sep 2026

Sept. 13 we rode 9 miles around town with our dog in his chariot. Quiet with less traffic on most streets and a bit windy but eBikes don't care. So I have now ridden 69 of my anticipated 100 miles for the month.

Posting can be confusing on this site. I haveridden a total of 60 miles so far, as of Sept. 12, 2026. I think some rides were de;eated somehow. Look around and you will probably find the accounts. Thanks.

Sept. 12 we had a windy ride from Pequot Lakes to Merrifield and back. Lots of shoppers in Nisswa, none in Pequot Lakes (perhaps due in large part to the road construction, etc. etc. that has detours posted all over the central business area.

No biggy, we pedaled around with a few other cyclists and greeted some walkes, even a couple skaters. The purpose remains intact: Fight Kids Cancer!

  • Friday Ride and Gallery Stop: 44 miles now
    4 Sep 2026

Today is the start of the Labor Day Weekend. Three of us biked from Pequot Lakes to Nisswa to Grandview Lodge, Lakeshore area, enjoying the neighborhood/rural sights and sounds of a green scene. We stopped at the Warren Gallery and Jackalope Park south of the Nisswa business area. Biff Ulm guided us around with updates of this significant cultural site of the quiet street by his manufacturing facility. Thank you Biff! Always enlightening and enjoyable to visit with you.

I think we must have ridden about 20 miles. Gives me a total of about 44 for the month. EZ PZ on ebike and safe away from the onrushing flow of tourists.

Today, Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026 several of us rode from Merrifield to Nisswa and back to start the month. The weather was perfct. The Paul Bunyan Trail was quiet, since the schools have opened in the Cities and fewer tourists are in our area. Lovely time of year. The nisswa parking lot was void of any vehicles! The line for coffee was short and there were places to sit outisde Stonehouse.

Not much to report for wildlife, but we did encounter a couple who were from Des Moines blaring their music as they wheeled pact wearing RAGBRAI advertising, admitting they were first-timers here staying at the unaffordable Grand view Lodge. Good for them.

We ride to remember the lives lost past present and future due to the ugly enemy - Cancer that extracts our children before they have had a chance.

More ride ahead for our team, so watch for announcements on when and where to be. Nancy Waller is our team leader.
